People have asked for a way to chip in, so here it is. Kitchen2Compost is free for businesses and free for collectors, and that is not changing. Nothing on this page buys anything.

Where it goes

Straight into building the app. Server costs, the mapping and messaging services it runs on, the two app store developer accounts, and the hours that go into it. Kitchen2Compost is built by two people.

What you get

Nothing, and that is on purpose. No badge, no label on your account, no features other people do not have. Everybody sees the same app whether they give a dollar or nothing at all. If supporting bought something, it would stop being support and start being a product, and the app would stop being free.

The honest part

KitchentoCompost LLC is a regular company, not a charity. What you send is not a tax-deductible donation, we cannot issue a receipt for one, and it counts as income to the business. If you want a write-off, this is not it. If you want to help pay for the thing, this is exactly it.

Other ways, if money is not it

These are worth more to us right now than the money. Tell one restaurant near you about the app. If you compost, sign up as a collector in a zip we have not reached yet. Or send us a note about what is broken, because we read all of it.
