K2C was co-founded by worm farmers Sean Gallagher and Christiana Rodgers, both trained in composting; Christiana comes from San Antonio Composting Project. It is built around the needs of businesses and composters across the country.

K2C is a matchmaking platform. We don’t take custody of scraps or run a hauling route. Businesses and collectors use K2C to find each other, claim a listing, and coordinate the handoff directly.

In a growing number of places, yes. States like California, Vermont, and Massachusetts, and cities like Austin, require many food businesses to divert organic waste from landfills. K2C gives those businesses a direct way to connect scraps with local collectors instead.
